Name : Christchurch Runners
Colours : Light Blue
The club meets at the sports and social club in Grange Road. The mainstay of the club is the Wednesday lunchtime event. This takes the form of an organised race or training event for which there are assorted prizes. The regular Wednesday events start at 12:30. The 10k (on a Friday) is a handicapped start and a start time is allocated (such that all finish around 1:20) and the longer runs start at around 2:15 - again with a handicapped start. The social runs are more ad hoc, although usually people congregate soon after 12.
Full details of all our events and results are contained in the members area.
Come along and introduce yourself. We are a friendly bunch - even our competitive events are fun. Make it known what you want out of your involvement and you will quickly find yourself in with a group who will encourage and help you achieve your goals. You will soon be winning your first trophy.
If you are interested in joining in, but do not want to run, we are always on the lookout for people to do the timekeeping for our events.
Formal membership details are available. If you are a keen runner and enter races then membership of the club will save you the affiliation fee which is currently £1 per race.
